Roof Repair in Cypress
Most roofs don't need replacing. They need the right fix in the right spot. We find what failed, show you photos, and repair it so it holds. If the damage might be covered by insurance, we explain how claims work before you decide anything.
A Repair That Fixes the Cause
Roof repair is the right call when the roof is mostly sound and the trouble is in one area. A lifted shingle, a cracked tile, a rusted pipe flashing, a dried-out vent boot. Fix those well and the roof keeps doing its job for years.
Our owner has 40 years of roofing experience. That time on roofs teaches you that the spot where water shows up is often not where it gets in. So we trace it back before we price anything.
If a repair won't hold, we tell you that too, and explain what roof replacement would involve. You get a straight answer either way.
What Our Roof Repair Covers
Torn or Missing Shingles
Wind-torn and missing shingles come off, and new ones go in on the correct nail line with the seal strip pressed flat. We get the color and profile as close as the manufacturer still makes it.
Cracked or Slipped Tile
Concrete and clay tile cracks when it's walked on wrong or hit by a falling branch. We replace broken pieces and reset slipped ones, and check the underlayment beneath while the tile is up.
Flashing Repair
Chimneys, walls, skylights and valleys all rely on metal flashing. We replace rusted or loose pieces and reseal joints where old caulk has cracked.
Vent Boots and Pipe Collars
Rubber boots around plumbing vents dry out and split in years of sun. It's one of the most common leak sources we see, and one of the cheapest to fix.
Small Deck Repairs
If water has softened a section of roof deck, we cut out the bad wood and put in new sheathing before the roof goes back on.
Photos and a Written Report
You see what we saw. Every repair comes with photos of the problem and the finished work, which also helps if you're filing a claim.
Signs Your Roof Needs Repair
Water Spots Overhead
A tan or brown mark on the ceiling is water that already made it through the roof and the attic. It may look dry today. The next rain will find the same path.
Shingles in the Yard
Strong dry winds in fall can lift and tear shingles. If you find pieces on the ground, there's an open spot up top.
Broken Tile You Can See
Cracked or shifted tile lets sun and water reach the underlayment. That layer is what actually keeps water out, and it wears fast once exposed.
Granules in the Gutters
Some grit is normal. Piles of it mean shingles are losing their protective coat, so we check whether it's one area or the whole roof.
Pinholes of Sun Up Top
Go up in the attic on a bright afternoon and switch off the light. Any spot where sunshine pokes through the sheathing is a spot rain can use too.
How a Repair Visit Goes
- 1
A Quick Phone Call
Describe what you've noticed: a drip, a stain, a piece of roof on the lawn. We pick a day for your free inspection that fits your week. Se habla español.
- 2
Inspection and Photos
We climb up, look closely at the trouble spot and the shingles or tile next to it, then check the attic if there's a way in. You get photos and a plain explanation of what failed.
- 3
Written Estimate
We give you a free written estimate with the repair spelled out line by line. If storm damage is involved, we explain how the claim process works and what your adjuster will likely want to see.
- 4
Repair Day
Most repairs take a few hours. We protect plants and walkways under the work area, and the crew sweeps for nails before leaving.
- 5
Final Check
We walk you through the finished work with after photos so you know exactly what was done.
What Changes the Price of a Repair
Every repair is priced on its own, so we don't give quotes over the phone. We see the roof first and then write the number down. Financing through Service Finance Company is available if smaller payments would help, subject to credit approval.
- Hidden Damage Below
- Fixing the surface is one job. When the underlayment or deck is wet or rotted, that work is added, and you get photos of it.
- Tile or Shingle
- Tile takes longer because each piece must be lifted and reset without cracking the ones around it. Tracking down a discontinued tile or shingle color can also raise the cost.
- Pitch and Reach
- Steep slopes, two-story homes and narrow side yards call for extra safety setup and slower work.
- How Much Is Damaged
- A single vent boot is a quick fix. A full valley or a long stretch of flashing takes more. You pay only for what actually needs work.
Roof Repair Questions
Something not covered here? (714) 710-1867
Can my roof be repaired, or do I need a new one?
We weigh two things: how old the roof is and whether the damage sits in one place or shows up on every slope. Trouble in a spot or two on an otherwise sound roof is a repair. Brittle shingles everywhere, or underlayment breaking down under tile, means a patch only buys a little time. We'll tell you which one we see and show you the photos that back it up.
Will insurance pay for my roof repair?
Sometimes. Most policies cover sudden damage, such as wind or a fallen limb, and not age or wear. We'll work with your claim directly: photos of each damaged area, notes on what failed and measurements your adjuster can check. The coverage decision belongs to the adjuster, so we won't promise how it turns out.
Do you work on both tile and shingle roofs?
Yes. We repair asphalt shingle and concrete or clay tile, which covers most homes around Cypress. For details on each, see our Tile Roofing and Asphalt Shingle Roofing pages.
What shingles do you use for repairs?
We try to match what's already on your home. We're an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, so when a full section needs new material, we can use their products and install them to their specs.
How long does a typical repair take?
Most are done in a few hours to one day. Larger repairs, or ones where deck wood needs replacing, can take longer. We give you a time estimate before we start.
