Hail Damage Repair in Cypress
Hail damage often hides in plain sight. The roof seems fine from the ground, but bruised shingles and cracked tiles are already wearing out. We climb up, chalk each impact, photograph it and explain what it means for your roof and your claim. Then we repair what needs it.
What Hail Does to a Roof
Hail does not always tear a roof open. On asphalt shingles it knocks off granules and bruises the mat underneath, so the shingle looks fine but starts to break down faster. On clay and concrete tile it chips edges and leaves hairline cracks. Either way, the leak may not show up until the next rain or the one after.
Hail is not something we see every year around Cypress, so a lot of homeowners have never dealt with it. That is where we help most. We document the damage, explain the claim steps in plain words and repair your home once the scope is settled.
Our owner has 40 years of roofing experience. That time on roofs is what tells a real hail hit apart from a blister, a foot scuff or plain old wear. Adjusters ask about that difference, and we can show it.

What Our Hail Damage Work Covers
- 01
Hit-by-hit inspection
We walk each slope, chalk-mark the hits and count them in sample areas. You get a clear picture of how spread out the damage is.
- 02
Photos for your insurance file
Close-ups of bruised shingles and cracked tiles, plus wide shots that show where each one sits. We also photograph dented vents, gutters and flashing, since soft metal shows hail clearly.
- 03
Help with the adjuster
We work directly with your insurance claim. If you like, we can be up on the roof when the adjuster inspects and show each spot we chalked. The adjuster makes the coverage call, not us.
- 04
Shingle and tile repair
We replace damaged shingles or tiles and check the underlayment beneath them. On tile roofs, cracked pieces often hide torn felt that needs attention too.
- 05
Full replacement when it is due
If the damage runs across the whole roof, patching is money thrown away. As an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, we can put a new shingle system on your home. Our roof replacement page has more on that.
- 06
Gutters and metal parts
Hail dents gutters, downspouts and roof vents. We note them in your file and fix or replace what is damaged.
Questions about Hail Damage Repair?
Call(714) 710-1867Signs Your Roof Took Hail
Grit washing out of downspouts
Dark, sandy grit spilling onto the walk after hail is shingle coating that got knocked loose. Without it, the sun breaks the shingle down faster.
Dents on soft metal
Look at your gutters, AC unit fins, mailbox and vent caps. If they are dented, your roof was hit too.
Bare patches on shingles
A hailstone can scrape the coating off and leave a small circle of exposed mat, often darker than the shingle around it. Wear starts there first.
Cracked or chipped tile
Broken corners or fresh cracks on clay or concrete tile let water reach the underlayment. Small cracks are hard to spot from the yard.
New stains inside
A ceiling spot that shows up weeks after a hailstorm may trace back to it. Our roof leak repair work starts with finding that path.

What Moves the Cost of Hail Repair
Hail repair can be a few shingles or a whole new roof. If you need to spread out the cost, we offer financing through Service Finance Company, subject to credit approval. The price itself follows what we find up there, and when insurance is involved, your policy and deductible shape what comes out of your pocket.
- Number of slopes hit
- A few damaged spots can be repaired. Hits on every slope usually mean replacement.
- Roof material
- Tile costs more to repair than shingles, and matching older tile can take some searching.
- Matching discontinued products
- If your shingle color is no longer made, new pieces will not match. That can push a repair toward a larger section or a full roof.
- What is under the surface
- Torn underlayment or soft decking found during the work adds to the job. We show you photos before doing anything extra.
Hail Damage Questions
Will my insurance pay for hail damage?
It depends on your policy, your deductible and what the adjuster decides. We cannot promise approval. What we can do is give you clear photos and an honest read on the damage so the adjuster sees the full picture.
How long do I have to file a hail claim?
Every policy sets its own deadline, so check yours or ask your agent. Waiting also makes it harder to prove when the damage happened. Getting the roof looked at soon after the storm keeps things simple.
Can you just cover my deductible?
No. Your deductible is your share of the cost under your policy, and we will not offer to waive or hide it. We can talk about financing if the cost is a strain.
My roof is not leaking. Does hail damage still matter?
Yes. Bruised shingles lose their protection and age faster, and cracked tiles let water reach the felt underneath. The leak often comes months later, when it is harder to tie back to the storm.
